Sunny Smith

BRAND IDENTITY DESIGN, 2021

In my work with the artist Sunny A. Smith I setup my approach to mirror the way they make art—lots of research and a deep investigation of craft.

For this identity rebrand I researched typeface design in the United States during the time of the nation’s founding. I then hybridized those aesthetics with contemporary serif typefaces and also integrated the aesthetics of war.
