In my work with the artist Sunny A. Smith I setup my approach to mirror the way they make art—lots of research and a deep investigation of craft.

For this identity rebrand I researched typeface design in the United States during the time of the nation’s founding. I then hybridized those aesthetics with contemporary serif typefaces and also integrated the aesthetics of war.

The red and blue ancestry chart was produced for the exhibition The Compass Rose at Fort Mason Center for the Arts in San Francisco in 2023.

The Models for a System exhibition catalog was published by the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco in 2018.
